From national security to the boardroom: finding the true root cause.

From ensuring national security to founding VC-backed startups, I saw the same pattern repeat for 25 years: brilliant leaders chasing tech problems instead of solving value problems. This is what I saw in digital transformations time and again, and what led me to write Completely Satisfied, develop workgroup digital twins, and create Hailee as an agentic AI solution to the problem.

I became obsessed with finding the root cause of these digital breakdowns. What I found was almost never technical—it was organizational. It wasn't a failure of competence or malice; it was a visibility failure.

Leaders were flying blind, with no way to see if their expensive solutions actually worked for the people using them. I realized then that 'UX' had hit its point of diminishing returns.
